The Kandyan Forest Gardens are an ancient agroforestry system representing a centuries old sustainable practice of spices and other crop production in Sri Lanka. This traditional, complex and risk-averse multi-story culture of cultivation still exists, with most indigenous and original spice crops growing naturally.
